PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop, as a group of novel compounds via [1,5] Thia-Fries rearrangements, 2-(3-(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)-1H-indol-2-yl)phenol derivatives and a method for synthesizing the same.SOLUTION: The present inventors have succeeded in obtaining, as a group of novel compounds in high yields, 2-(3-(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)-1H-indol-2-yl)phenol derivatives by performing, in the presence of bases, [1,5] Thia-Fries rearrangements of reaction substrates consisting of 2-(1H-indol-2-yl)phenyl trifluoromethanesulfonates representing a group of novel compounds. |
