Provided are a light guide plate which comprises a styrene resin or a polycarbonate resin and for which yellowing is reduced and a decrease in the light transmission rate is suppressed, a surface light source device and a transmission-type image display device having the light guide plate, and reflection dots for the light guide plate. A light guide plate (11) comprises a light guide plate substrate (12), which has an emission surface (12b) for emitting light and a rear surface (12c) on the side opposite the emission surface (12b), and reflection dots (24), which are disposed on the rear surface (12c) side of the light guide plate substrate (12) and reflect light to the emission surface (12b) side. The light guide plate substrate (12) comprises a styrene resin or polycarbonate resin. The reflection dots (24) comprise a bluing agent.
