摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling fire extinguishing of a VOC processing rotor for a VOC processing system including: a VOC processing rotor: and a regenerative heater which heats air passed through a cooling zone of the VOC processing rotor which absorbs VOC to perform a VOC process after receiving the air through the regenerative fan. The apparatus for controlling fire extinguishing of a VOC processing rotor for a VOC processing system comprises: a temperature sensor installed between a cooling unit of the VOC processing rotor and the regenerative heater; a PR damper installed in each intake unit and exhaust unit of the VOC processing system; a closing means closing the PR damper in a pneumatic manner; and a control unit which controls to inject some fire extinguishing liquid toward the PR damper after a predetermined time elapses and blocks external air by blocking the operation of the regenerative heater to close the PR damper when a temperature value detected in the temperature sensor is greater than or equal to a primary setting temperature value and starting the closing operation of the closing means when a temperature value detected in the temperature sensor is greater than or equal to a secondary setting temperature value. The apparatus for controlling fire extinguishing of a VOC processing rotor for a VOC processing system and the method therefor can extinguish a fire by controlling the closing means to close the PR damper installed in each intake unit and exhaust unit of the apparatus and applying a fire extinguishing means, such as fire extinguishing liquid, at the same time to prevent flames from being introduced into indoor due to flame transfer when the temperature in the apparatus is rapidly changed due to unwanted cause or a temperature value detected by the temperature sensor installed between the VOC processing rotor and the regenerative heater is greater than or equal to the setting temperature value resulted from overheating of the regenerative heater (fire generation, etc.) due to a sudden abnormal condition.
