The tool holder (1) has a longitudinal propeller shaft (3) including an end (4) with a connection unit (5) for allowing application of torque to actuate the propeller shaft in rotation around a longitudinal direction (I-I). Another end (6) is provided with another connection unit (7) to receive a surgical tool such as milling cutter (2), in a removable manner and to rotate the tool around the longitudinal direction. The former connection unit, the latter connection unit, and the propeller shaft are made of only one part. An independent claim is also included for a method for connection of a tool holder with a milling cutter.
