The present invention relates to a calcium-manganese-based thermoelectric composition doped with praseodymium, and a preparation method thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a calcium-manganese-based thermoelectric composition doped with praseodymium, wherein praseodymium is doped on the composition to substitute a part of calcium with praseodymium, and a preparation method of a calcium-manganese-based thermoelectric composition doped with praseodymium, comprising the following steps: mixing a calcium-based material, a manganese-based material and a praseodymium-based material to prepare a mixture; calcining the mixture multiple times while gradually increasing the calcination temperature as the number of times of calcination increases; and sintering the mixture that has been calcined multiple times. According to the present invention, the generation of a single phase was relatively advantageous in the case of doping with praseodymium compared to the case of doping with other rare earth elements suggested as comparative examples. Therefore, the structural distortion of a perovskite structure was minimized, and thus thermoelectric properties were satisfactory, thereby implementing the relatively highest output factor. |
