The present invention relates to a medical refrigerator which cools a cold storage by minimizing a pressure difference during expansion, which is a difference between a temperature of a capillary tube during expansion and an outside temperature, to suppress the formation of frost in the cold storage; and removes the frost by a heater or a blower fan when the frost is formed, thereby improving the temperature stability of the medical refrigerator and the reliability of the appliance. A method for controlling the frost in the medical refrigerator, which has a compressor, the capillary tube, an evaporator, and a condenser, includes: a step of calculating the pressure difference during expansion which is a temperature difference between the capillary tube during expansion and the outside temperature of the cold storage; and a step of setting a discharge pressure of the capillary tube in reference to the expansion temperature difference so that the pressure difference becomes the pressure between the first pressure and the second pressure corresponding to the room temperature and the temperature of a refrigerant during expansion, respectively. |
