The casing has a pulley (5) connected to an end (13a) of a crankshaft (13) for driving the crankshaft. A hub (12) of the pulley is surrounded with a sleeve (15) that penetrates into the casing through an opening crossing a frontage (6) of the casing. The opening is surrounded at its circumference by a part projecting toward the pulley on an external side of the frontage. The part forms a bearing (11) for supporting the hub. The pulley is axially remote from the frontage by providing a sufficient spacing larger than a spacing to avoid interference between the pulley and frontage. An independent claim is also included for a driving or driven unit and a transmission system assembly.
