The present invention relates to a method for measuring a channel load in a vehicle to vehicle communication system consisting of a user vehicle and at least one adjacent vehicle comprising the following steps of: calculating, by an individual vehicle, a relative distance from the vehicle location using adjacent vehicle location information; searching for vehicles including the user vehicle whose relative distances are within a carrier sensing range; selecting a vehicle whose channel load has the largest value, CL, among the searched vehicles; and transmitting the channel load value and the location information of the selected vehicle to an adjacent vehicle. According to the present invention, by providing the method for measuring a channel load which measures and predicts a communication network status between vehicles using information provided by adjacent vehicles through V2V communication, the reliability of V2V communication can be improved and congestion can be reduced. |
