The present invention relates to a novel juglanin B11-O-potassium sulfate compound 1 and myricetin 3`-O-potassium sulfate compound isolated from an extract of Myrica rubra Sieb. et Zucc leaves. The compound of the present invention has anti-oxidative activity by a strong free radical removal function, and shows strong anti-inflammatory activity controlling the generation of NO (nitric oxide). Therefore, the novel compound of the present invention can be used as an active component for medicines, cosmetics, and functional food which require anti-oxidative activity and anti-inflammatory activity. |
