The present invention relates to an accident recognition system of a transportation vehicle, comprising: an impact sensing unit for sensing impact applied to a transportation vehicle by being installed in the transportation vehicle; a moving distance measuring unit for measuring a moving distance of the transportation vehicle; a first camera which photographs the situation of the transportation vehicle for a moving picture, and stores the moving picture photographed for an established storage time; a second camera for photographing the transportation vehicle for still images; an accident recognition unit which controls to stop moving picture photographing of the first camera by judging an accident if the vehicle is in a stop state during an established stop time by analyzing a sensing signal sensed in the moving distance measuring unit if the impact is sensed by the impact sensing unit, and controls to photograph still images of the transportation vehicle by driving the second camera; and a server of a control center which generates accident analysis information by analyzing the cause of an accident by receiving the moving picture and the still images recognized from the accident recognition unit and accident cause analysis request information. According to the present invention, the accident recognition system can grasp the cause of an accident rapidly and accurately by providing accident analysis information by recognizing accident occurrence of the transportation vehicle mechanically and analyzing the cause of the accident in the control center by installing the impact sensing unit such as an acceleration sensor and the moving distance measuring unit such as a G sensor and a GPS in the transportation vehicle in case there is an accident in the vehicle transporting freight or persons, and thus can respond to the accident rapidly.
