LED ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and, more specifically, to a LED assembly used as a light source of a liquid crystal display device. Features of the present invention are: forming a power supply wiring layer and an insulating layer of a PCB of the LED assembly only in one edge side of the longitudinal direction of the PCB; forming a PCB base on the other edge side to be exposed; and forming a radiating lead of a heat radiating metal plate in which a LED chip is mounted to directly contact with the PCB base of the PCB. A service life and brightness change of the LED depending on temperature rise can be prevented since heat with a high temperature generated due to the use of the LED can be more effectively released to the outside of the liquid crystal display device. Thus, a problem of reduced display quality of the liquid crystal display device due to non-uniform brightness can be prevented.
