摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method for measuring flow rate of a ballast water treatment device and a method for controlling a system are provided to reduce costs, maintenance and repair requirements, and the space for a main pipeline by omitting a flow meter. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring flow rate of a ballast water treatment device and a method for controlling a system thereby comprise the steps of: determining if a ballast pump is driven using a control unit (S110); calculating flow rate of fresh water or sea water which flows in from the control unit (S120); controlling the amount of current supplied to an electrolysis device according to the calculated flow rate (S130); measuring TRO concentration of the fresh water or sea water treated through the electrolysis device in a TRO meter (S140); and correcting controlled current amount in the control unit according to the TRO concentration (S150). The control unit stores capacity information of the ballast pump. The control unit calculates initial flow rate through the number and the capacity of the driven ballast pumps at S120.
