This touch input device (1) is equipped with a touch sensor (10) and a wake-up control unit (20). The touch sensor (10) is equipped with a piezoelectric sensor (11P) and a detection signal generation part (12). The touch sensor (10) outputs a sense signal in accordance with the amount and direction of displacement of an operation screen that occurs when the operation screen is depressed, and the depression is loosened. The detection signal generation part (12) outputs a displacement detection signal (Sp) on the basis of the sense signal. The wake-up control unit (20) detects the depression from a voltage change in the displacement detection signal (Sp). The wake-up control unit (20) starts counting time upon detecting the depression and generates and outputs a wake-up signal (Swk) when loosening of the depression is detected from the voltage change in the displacement detection signal (Sp) within a detection time (∆Tc).
