The home appliance (HG) has an energy-connector (HEN) over an intelligent energy meter (SM) of an intelligent power supply network and a data connector for a local data network (HDN) over the intelligent energy meter. The momentary power received by the home appliance is evaluated in a microcomputer (C). The switching states of the actuators (A1 to An) are individually mapped in the microcomputer. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a home appliance.
