The method involves providing a bit string from random bits. Predetermined number on Bits of the bit string from a bit group is detected (S1). Acquired bit group is assigned (S2) to a bit pattern. Displacement vector is assigned to the bit pattern in an N-dimensional space. Bit pattern counting position is shifted (S3) in the N-dimensional space of the bit pattern assigned with displacement vector. Bit pattern counting position is compared (S4) with limit position in the N-dimensional space. Random bits are classified (S5, S6) as random or not random. An independent claim is also included for a device for generation of random bits.
