The present invention provides a broadcast receiver and a control method thereof, capable of providing a better service for a user, by enabling the user to watch a broadcast conveniently without feeling sense of difference by receiving a specific broadcast signal without an additional setting, and enabling a broadcast signal provider to control video and sound of the broadcast receiver. The broadcast receiver of the present invention includes: a receiving part for receiving a plurality of broadcast signals including a specific broadcast signal; a signal processing part for processing the broadcast signal; a storage part capable of storing information about the processing of the broadcast signal; and a control part which receives management information about the specific broadcast signal, and stores the management information in the storage part, and controls the signal processing part to adjust the specific broadcast signal on the basis of the stored management information, if the specific broadcast signal is received according to broadcast selection of the user. |
