Abstract The present invention provides crop plant cell with stably integrated, recombinant DNA comprising a promoter that is functional in plant cells and that is operably linked to DNA that encodes a protein having at least 90% identity to SEQ ID NO:5, as well as crop plant transformed with said recombinant DNA, wherein a plant comprising said plant cell exhibits increased yield, enhanced water use efficiency, enhanced nitrogen use efficiency, increased kernel weight, increased kernel size, or increased ear size as compared to a control plant that does not have said recombinant DNA. |
