PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood volume measuring method which offers an easy measuring method without requiring time-consuming measuring process and is capable of suppressing stress on a patient.SOLUTION: In a blood volume measuring method, at least two kinds of respiratory variation data, for example, stroke volume variation (SVV) data, pulse wave amplitude variation (PAV) data, and arterial pulsation pressure variation (PPV) data, as well as a pulse wave transit time (PWTT) in a breathing period and a heart rate (HR) in a predetermined time are measured to calculate α, &bgr;, and K, coefficients inherent to a patient, and then a cardiac output (CO) is determined by an equation: CO=K(α*PWTT+&bgr;)*HR. |
