<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can shorten a discontinuation period for object detection.SOLUTION: The imaging device has: imaging means; cleaning means for performing cleaning operation; receiving means for receiving a cleaning instruction which allows the cleaning means to perform cleaning operation; cleaning operation control means for controlling the cleaning means to perform the cleaning operation: background image generation means for generating a background image from output of the imaging means over a plurality of frames; and background image control means for performing control for resetting at least the background image. When the receiving means receives the cleaning instruction, the cleaning operation control means allows the cleaning means to perform cleaning operation, when the background image control means resets the background image.</p> |
