PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, since a magnesium cell reacts with oxygen in air when there is an electrolyte, self-discharge is great and the storability thereof is not good, there is a method of normally storing the magnesium cell in a state of no electrolyte and injecting the electrolyte only in use but if the electrolyte is temporarily injected and discharge is started, the magnesium cell may be consumed by self-discharge even without connecting a load circuit thereto.SOLUTION: A magnesium layer which becomes a negative electrode, an intermediate separator layer, an active carbon layer and a good conductor which becomes a positive electrode are arranged side by side in this order. The separator layer is filled with an electrolyte, a layer group is formed from neighboring arbitrary two layers or continuously adjacent arbitrary three layers among the four layers, and a single layer is formed from each of the remaining layers singly. Within each layer group, the layers forming the layer group are always adhered to each other without gap as a whole, and means capable of relatively moving and iteratively separating or adhering all the layer groups and the single layer is provided.
|
