摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a viewpoint with a monocular camera.SOLUTION: A viewpoint measuring device measures a viewpoint of a person with reference to a prescribed plane. The device photographs the face of the person with a monocular camera to detect a face 310 as well as positions of both eyes (312L and 312R) on the photographed image, and further figures out an inter-pupil distance ron the photographed image. By using internal parameters of the monocular camera (including the focal distance) and the known inter-pupil distance in the real space, the inter-pupil distance ron the photographed image is converted into a viewpoint distance in the real space (distance between the prescribed plane and the viewpoint) (if the inter-pupil distance ris equivalent to 100 pixels, the viewpoint distance is 10 cm, or if the inter-pupil distance ris equivalent to 50 pixels, the viewpoint distance is 20 cm, and so forth).</p>
