Heavy gauge polyethylene tubing in the cold state is placed in an arclike groove 11 in the periphery of a forming tool 10 and is clipped in position by a hook 13, and either by hook 12 if the tubing is required to be bent through a right angle, or adjustable hook 18 for smaller angles. The tube is heated and thereafter cooled so that a permanent bend through the required angle is produced. Instead of hooks 12, 13, 18, U-shaped detachable clips may be employed.</p> |
