903,086. Capacitors. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. Jan. 30, 1959 [Oct. 30, 1957], No. 33860/57. Class 37. In a method of making a capacitor wherein two sets of elements, consisting of dielectric material 10, 11 with electrodes thereon, are interleaved; the manufacturing apparatus is confined within a low pressure enclosure 45. The apparatus is substantially as described in Specification 856,046. A stack of interleaved elements is formed at 43, and since the apparatus is maintained at a low ambient pressure the stack may be compressed, impregnated, and sealed immediately; the use of separate vacuum enclosures for impregnating being avoided. Specifications 903,084 and 903,085 also are referred to. |
