The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a strand and a strand manufactured by the method, which is easy to manufacture and achieves high quality by assuring high measurement precision of a linear sensor by preventing the linear sensor from being damaged, by using a core of a structure capable of preventing crack, deformation and damage of an FRP because the linear sensor is buried in the FRP with excellent durability and a steel is covered on the outer circumference of the FRP. In the present invention, a strand is manufactured by: manufacturing an FRP rod (10) in which a linear sensor (3) is buried; manufacturing a core (1) by coating the outer circumference of the FRP rod (10) with a steel sheath (20); and arranging a surrounding steel (2) around the core and then performing a work of twisting the surrounding steel (2). The linear sensor (3) is buried inside, and a plurality of surrounding steels (2) are twisted around the core (1) of the strand. |
