PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly suppress stray light when printing is made on a three-dimensional object such as a cover of a portable terminal.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 10 comprises an ink jet head 12, an ultraviolet irradiation part 14, a printed body holding part 18. The printed body holding part 18 has a three-dimensional object holding part 152 for holding a three-dimensional object 50, and a light shielding part 110. The three-dimensional object holding part 152 changes the direction of the three-dimensional object 50 and a first printed surface and a second printed surface are made to face the ink jet head 12 respectively, and the light shielding part 110 is so provided as to be able to advance and retreat in at least a part of position in a discharge direction, and by advancement and retreat of the light shielding part 110 in the discharge direction, a light shielding area for intercepting ultraviolet light in a direction orthogonal to the discharge direction is changed.
