PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the injection unit of conventional die cast machines is composed of a large accumulator, a large oil tank, a complicated hydraulic circuit and so on, resulting in enlargement of the machine and necessity of maintenance work as a measure against oil leakage.SOLUTION: An injection unit of a die cast machine comprises a plunger charging a molten metal in a sleeve into a mold by injection and applying a pressure, a high-speed moving member linked integrally to the plunger, a linear motor connected to the high-speed moving member through a cushion cylinder, a bearing holding member movable in the axial direction while its rotation is restricted within the high-speed moving member, a lock nut which is attached to the bearing holding member through a bearing, screwed against a trapezoidal screw and brought into contact with the high-speed moving member under the pressure applied to the plunger so that its relative movement with respect to the trapezoidal screw is restricted and a pressure rise keeping unit pressing the trapezoidal screw to apply holding force from the plunger to the molten metal through the lock nut and the high-speed moving member. |
