PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance charge efficiency by certainly charging fine dust and mist in dust-containing air.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector equipped with a charging device 6 charging fine dust, mist and the like in dust-containing air by corona discharge generated by the application of high voltage comprises: a ground electrode plate 40 formed with a plurality of openings 41 which are arranged in a direction interrupting the flow of the dust-containing air and where the dust-containing air passes through; and a supporting base plate 60 to support discharge electrodes 80 arranged corresponding to each opening 41 at the ground electrode plate. The openings 41 having the same number as the number of the tips of the discharge electrodes 80 are arranged. The supporting base plate 60 supports the tips of the discharge electrodes 80 so that a distance between the tips of the discharge electrodes 80 and the peripheral edge parts of the openings 41 keeps a predetermined space. |
