PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power regenerative converter which cancels or alleviates a maximum value restriction of regenerative electric power not depending on cooling capability during regeneration.SOLUTION: An inverter 13 and a motor generator 11 are heat generators which regenerate kinetic energy as electric energy. A fan 12 cools down the heat generators. Control means 30 calculates a maximum regenerative electric power on the basis of temperatures of the heat generators, and controls drive of the fan 12 on the basis of the maximum regenerative electric power and the temperatures of the heat generators.
