<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the display quality of images in a region where the signal level decreases when an initialization period for initialization discharge is omitted.SOLUTION: A drive control device includes: a display panel 17; a signal level determination part 12 that determines whether the signal level of an input image signal is equal to or less than a first threshold value for each pixel; an operating time determination part 13 that determines whether the operation time integrated value of the display panel is equal to or more than a second threshold value; a signal level correction section 11 that, when the operating time integrated value is determined to be equal to or more than the second threshold value, generates a corrected image signal in which the signal level of the input image signals smaller than the first threshold value is corrected to gradation "0"; drive units 15 and 16 that apply a driving voltage to at least one electrode of the electrodes; i.e., scan, data and sustain so that each of plural subfields, which have no initialization period has a different luminance weight; and a control section 14 that controls the drive units of the pixels which have the generated correction image signal based on the corrected image signal.</p> |
