HEAT EXCHANGER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PIPE JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality heat exchanger by enhancing strength of pipe joints.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger includes: a first pipe joint including a first round pipe part formed on one end and a first flat pipe part having long sides and short sides and formed on the other end; a second pipe joint including a second round pipe part formed on one end and a second flat pipe part having long sides and short sides and formed on the other end; a heat transfer pipe in which the first flat pipe part of the first pipe joint is engaged and joined with one pipe end and the second flat pipe part of the second pipe joint is engaged and joined with the other pipe end; a plurality of fins fixed on the heat transfer pipe; and a side plate in which a first aperture and a second aperture are pierced, the first round pipe part of the first pipe joint is inserted into the first aperture and the second round pipe part of the second pipe joint is inserted into the second aperture. The side plate is caulked with the first pipe joint and the second pipe joint.
