PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten zinc plated steel plate having excellent plating adhesion after press working and after coating corrosion resistance after press working, while having excellent external appearance.SOLUTION: The structure of a molten zinc plated layer is controlled; an intermetallic compound having specified properties is formed in the molten zinc plated layer/steel plate boundary; and the solidification structure and the surface texture of the molten zinc plated layer are controlled. More specifically, the amount of Al in the molten zinc plated layer is adjusted to 0.3-0.6%; the amount of Al in the intermetallic compound is adjusted to 0.12-0.22 gm; the average particle size of particles of the intermetallic compound is adjusted to 1μm or smaller; and the composition of the intermetallic compound is FeAland/or FeAl.
