<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant capable of significantly reducing the generation amount of sludge cake and ash after incineration by forming dense floc having a low moisture content without using an inorganic coagulant in the dehydration treatment of organic sludge and the like difficult to dehydrate.SOLUTION: A polymer flocculant (P) contains a water-soluble polymer (A) which contains a water-soluble hydroxyl group-containing monomer (a) having one unsaturated group and a cationic monomer (b) having one unsaturated group as a constituent unit, which has a cation colloid equivalent value of 2.0-6.0 meq/g and which satisfies a relational formula [1]: -0.10≤ln[η]/lnV≤0.30 [1] (where, [η] is an intrinsic viscosity of (A) in 1 N-NaNOaqueous solution at 30°C; and Vs is a viscosity of (A) of 0.5 wt.% salt aqueous solution in 4 wt.% NaCl aqueous solution at 25°C.</p> |
