<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent images from having a missing part due to change of parallax in stereoscopic vision display, thereby enabling reproduction with no discomfort for appreciation.SOLUTION: An image processing device generates left-eye image data and right-eye image data for stereoscopic vision display by using composite image data of a left-eye image and a right-eye image and parallax map data representing a parallax amount distribution thereof. It is determined whether any enlarged-display possible area exists in the right-and-left direction of an image, and processing of enlarging an image-display area is executed when the area concerned exists (see image example 1304 or 1306). Parallax enlarging processing is executed in conformity with the enlarged image-display area, and parallax map data which has been changed in parallax amount are generated. The parallax map data are dynamically varied in conformity with the image-display area, thereby generating and reproducing left-eye image data and right-eye image data that have no image missing part (see image example 1303).</p> |
