PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for enabling multiple transmission schemes based on control information of different formats.SOLUTION: A method of enabling a transmission scheme comprises: generating (602) downlink control information (DCI) having a format selected from at least two different DCI formats; setting (604) a value of one or more bits of the DCI in a re-selected information field to indicate a transmission scheme selected from at least two transmission schemes; and transmitting (606) the DCI to a device to indicate the selected transmissions scheme.
