The safety device (1) has a processing unit (2) which verifies received incoming ticket (3) comprising an incoming data record (4), to generate and output an outgoing ticket (5) with an outgoing data record (6). The processing unit stores cryptographic key (7) for the encryption and/or authentication, such that the cryptographic key is not readable from the processing unit. The processing unit determines whether to read the key and determines procedure to use the key, after reception and evaluation of only once or frequently usable incoming tickets or the data set. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) technique for establishment of safety label for branded article; and (2) safety label.
