The present invention relates to a method for changing a channel in a remote control, which can increase the number of a channel by 1 when a channel increase key of the remote control having the channel increase key and a channel decrease key is pushed once, can decrease the number of a channel by 1 when the channel decrease key is pushed once, can continue to increase the number of a channel for a predetermined time when the channel increase key is continuously pushed for the predetermined time, and can continue to decrease the number of a channel for a predetermined time when the channel decrease key is continuously pushed for the predetermined time. The method comprises: a signal input step of receiving a signal according to the operation of a channel key; a signal processing step of synchronizing a check key signal with the channel key signal through an MICOM whenever an input signal is generated by a channel key and an intermittent signal generated by the channel key is inputted once; and a signal transmission step of transmitting a synchronized signal through a transmitting unit. The present invention as described above can reduce the waiting time required to change the channel and can eliminate the hassle of operating a separate check key by allowing the MICOM of the remote control to link the check key signal with the channel key signal and transmitting a linked signal when an intermittent signal generated by the channel key is inputted once. |
