PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sealing device that can enhance accuracy of a cut-off position while enhancing production efficiency even in the sealing device having an annular inner peripheral projection part on an inner peripheral side, and provide the sealing device that enhances slidability and suppresses breakage.SOLUTION: A sealing device includes: a plurality of cylindrical surface parts 130 and a plurality of annular outer peripheral projection parts 110 that are alternately provided on an outer peripheral side; and a plurality of cylindrical surface parts and a plurality of annular inner peripheral projection parts that are alternately provided on an inner peripheral side. A manufacturing method of the sealing device includes steps of: molding a cylindrical compact 100a that is made of a rubber elastic body and is included so that the cylindrical surface parts on the outer peripheral side and the cylindrical surface parts on the inner peripheral side, and the outer peripheral projection parts and the inner peripheral projection parts are the same positions in an axial direction; and performing cut-off to each cylindrical surface part 130 on the outer peripheral side, with respect to the compact 100a. |
