PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display control device and an on-vehicle display control method capable of improving visibility of other pieces of information without losing visibility of a speed meter.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle display control device includes an unused area determination part 4 for determining the unused speed area (high speed area or low speed area) of a speed meter based on the traveling state (e.g., traveling speed) of a vehicle, and a display control unit 3 for executing control so that information other than speed meter information can be magnified to the unused speed area to be displayed when the unused speed area is determined to be present. When a speed area not used in a part of the speed meter according to a traveling state is determined to be present, the other information is magnified to the unused speed area to be displayed. Thus, for the speed meter information, an actually used speed area is displayed to be easily understood, and the other information is magnified and displayed to be easily understood. |
