The present invention is applied in the field of microwave antenna technique. Provided is a method and apparatus for adjusting antennas in a multiple input multiple output microwave system. The system includes four outdoor units, and wherein only the angle of the antenna of one outdoor unit is different from the angle of the antennas of the other three outdoor units. The method includes the following steps: configuring a second outdoor unit in transmission state and configuring a first and a third outdoor units in reception state; determining whether the difference between the power of the microwave signals received by the first outdoor unit and the third outdoor unit is higher than a certain threshold; if not, adjusting the antenna of a fourth outdoor unit to make the angle of the antenna of the fourth outdoor unit coherent with other outdoor units. In the present invention, two outdoor units are combined to form a hop, and whether the angles of the antennas are coherent is determined by determining side lobe signals received, thus guaranteeing the coherence between the angles of the antennas at one node.
