PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitting method for a knitted fabric including a knitting yarn inlaid to knitting yarns in the course direction knitted by using a general-purpose flat knitting machine, without using a dedicated device for a warp yarn.SOLUTION: In one leftward knitting course, while a first yarn feeder 4 is used as a leading yarn feeder, and a third yarn feeder 6 is used as a trailing feeder, a base knitted fabric 8 is knitted by using knitting needles F to A. Thereby, stitch rows are finished in two stages. With respect to a knitting yarn 2 fed from a second yarn feeder 5 at an intermediate position between the first yarn feeder 4 and the third yarn feeder 6, a sinker loop of the base knitted fabric 8 is arranged on the front side between a stitch C-3 and a stitch D-3 thereof, and a sinker loop of the base knitted fabric 8 is arranged on the rear side between a stitch C-4 and a stitch D-4. The two sinker loops are arranged on the respective front and rear sides of the knitting yarn 2. As a result, the knitting yarn 2 is inlaid in part of the base knitted fabric 8. |
