CURRENT SENSOR FAILURE DETECTION DEVICE, BATTERY SYSTEM, AND CURRENT SENSOR FAILURE DETECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure of a current sensor without using a voltage sensor and without requiring a large circuit configuration.SOLUTION: A BMS 18 has a function as a current sensor failure detection device for detecting a failure of a current sensor 24 that measures current flowing through a chargeable/dischargeable secondary battery 12. The BMS 18 calculates: a charging current deviation which is a deviation between charging current and reference current of the secondary battery 12 measured by the current sensor 24; and a discharging current deviation which is a deviation between discharging current and the reference current of the secondary battery 12 measured by the current sensor 24. The BMS 18 determines that the current sensor 24 is in abnormal when a difference between time integration of the charging current deviation and time integration of the discharging current deviation exceeds a predetermined tolerance range.
