<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which includes a change section for changing an imaging direction, achieves height of stop resolution of the change means without using a complicated mechanical structure, and appropriately achieves suppression of heat generation and low power consumption.SOLUTION: A network camera 100 includes: a panning drive control section 105 for driving a stepping motor for changing an imaging direction; and a system control section 103 for determining whether a stop position of the stepping motor is a microstep stop position or not. When the stop position is determined to be not the microstep stop position, the panning drive control section 105 does not supply exciting current to the stepping motor, and supplies the exciting current to the stepping motor when the stop position is determined to be the microstep stop position.</p> |
