The dishwasher (1) has control device (2) that controls wash program of rinse cycle in which several aquiferous partial rinsing processes are performed. Wash liquor (S,SZ,SK) applied to ware is stored in rinse cycle by storage device (27), so that stored wash liquor is used again in subsequent washing process. An optional or manual or automatic activated cleaning sequence is provided by wash program to successively clean the chambers (29,30) in storage device using the same cleaning fluid. An independent claim is included for a method of operating a domestic dishwasher.
