The horizontal conveying line (24) has three conveying sections (34,40,46), which stay in conveying connection with each other, where the former conveying section has a feeding system (35) for conveyed articles (32) and an adjustable transfer point (36) to the latter conveying section formed as multi-track storage- and buffer area. The storage- and buffer area has multiple separated conveying tracks (42) for outplacement of articles. The former conveying section and the third conveying section have a common drive. An independent claim is included for a method for dynamic storage and buffering of articles, packaged goods, cargo or containers.
