SHEET MEDIUM SEPARATING METHOD AND SEPARATING MECHANISM

A sheet medium separating method includes that the sheet medium is driven by a separating roller (11) in the feeding direction, and a retreating roller (12) arranged oppositely to the separating roller (11) rotates intermittently in the retreating direction, so as to separate the sheet medium. A sheet medium separating mechanism includes a frame, a separating roller (11) and a retreating roller (12) arranged oppositely on the frame, a drive mechanism which drives the separating roller (11) to rotate, an eccentric element sleeved on the separating roller (11), an one-way bearing (26) rotating in the retreating direction and arranged on the retreating roller (12), and a deflector rod (23) arranged on the one-way bearing (26) and toggled by the eccentric element, wherein the sheet medium is driven by the separating roller (11) to move in the feeding direction, and the retreating roller (12) rotates intermittently in the retreating direction. As the result of the intermittent rotation of the retreating roller (12), the resistance force to a single sheet medium is reduced, and thereby the trouble-free feeding of the single sheet medium is achieved.
