PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent carbon precipitation in fuel battery cells in an SOFC system.SOLUTION: An SOFC system includes: a reformer 1 that reforms hydrocarbon fuel by a steam reforming reaction so as to produce reformed gas that is rich in hydrogen; a fuel cell 9 that generates power by an electrochemical reaction of the reformed gas and an oxidant; and an oxidant introduction device 20 (a buffer 21, an oxidant pump 22, and an introduction passage 23) that introduces an oxidant (generally, air) into a reformed gas supply passage 8 leading from the reformer 1 to the fuel cell 9. The oxidant introduction device 20 introduces the oxidant into the reformed gas supply passage 8 under a predetermined condition that facilitates carbon precipitation in the fuel cell 9. |
