The swash plate machine (1) has a mechanical stop portion that is provided for limiting the pivotal movement of a swivel cradle (14) between two swivel limit angles. A low pressure aperture is provided to input and/or discharge hydraulic fluid into and/or from a rotary piston bores (6). A high pressure aperture is provided for removing and/or injecting the hydraulic fluid from and/or into the piston bores. A hydraulic damping device is provided for reducing the speed of pivotal movement of swivel cradle in pivoting angles in the proximity of swivel limit angles. An independent claim is included for a power-train of motor car.
