<p>The present disclosure relates to a patterned retarder type display device having a black strip and a method for manufacturing the same. The present disclosure suggests a patterned retarder type display device comprising: a first substrate having a display area in which unit pixels are disposed in a matrix type and a non-display area surrounding the display area; a second substrate joined with the first substrate by a sealant disposed in the non-display area; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a plurality of a horizontal black strip disposed along a horizontal border distinguishing the unit pixel on an outer surface of the first substrate; and an outer strip covering the non-display area on the outer surface of the first substrate.</p> |
