The reversible footpiece mat (1) has two sides (2,3), which are provided with different surface conditions, and which are intended to support a foot. A fastening unit (11) is completely formed as a through-hole opening in the footpiece mat. The fastening unit is fastened to the footpiece mat from both the sides. The former side is formed of a textile material (6), such as a fabric, felt or velour material, or a loop fabric and latter side is made of a rubber (7), or rubber-like material, polyvinyl chloride. An independent claim is included for a doormat system.
