The laser safety goggles (10) have electrical sensor (3), camera (8), and push-button (9) for detecting position of laser safety goggles relative to eyes (6) of user of laser safety goggles. The sensor signals are wirelessly transmitted from the sensor, camera and push-button to external evaluation device (1) via interface unit, so as to determine whether laser safety goggles are positioned appropriately with respect to user. A warning apparatus is used to output warning signal, if the evaluation device determines that goggles are not positioned appropriately with respect to user. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for increasing safety during use of laser safety goggles; and (2) arrangement for increasing safety during use of laser safety goggles.
